steel lips mags pissing me off

Aparently they are cranking mags out as fast as possible. My brother has about three of them and they feed fine. His problem was that they were very difficult to put into the rifle and they would not come out very well. He returned the mags and got new ones so it's all sorted out now.

hey doc, where did you get your steel mags from in montreal? dante's? how much did you pay?
 
I bought my last 4 BC Steel Lips in a smoked finish from Russell's, and they work perfectly in the R22. They lock up better than my four clear finish mags bought two years ago.
 
My brother's mags came from Le Baron on St.Laurent. I can't tell you how much he paid but they are constantly running out of stock I think. I think he might have said something about the colour of the mags as well but I'm pretty sure the clear ones were working better as the last one I shot through was clear.

Lebaron on st.laurent usually only have hot lips mags... are you sure they are steel lips? dante's is the only one around who always have a couple steel lips mags on hand, that is probably because he sells them for 39.99$... I rather order from russels or wholesale anyways, save a couple bucks even with the extra shipping fee's.
 
Yeah they're steel lips. He told me the come and go really fast. My brother can't believe there are so many 10-22 owners in Montreal but I see there is a cult out there. He's craig67 on this board if you want to pm him for more info.

I'm Doc's brother, the 10/22 owner.

I have bought all my Steelips mags at Lebaron on St. Laurent Blvd. They frequently don't have any, you really need to go in every couple of weeks or so to catch them in, because when they get some they don't last long.

They usually sell for 29.99+ tax.

My 10/22 has a tight magwell, so I always try them out ASAP, I've had to exchange 2 so far.

All my mags work well, clear as well as smoke colour, test them and if they don't work, exchange them.
