SteelCase 308/Stag 10

I have fired 120 rounds of Barnaul ammo, which is lacquered steel cased, they were 145gr FMJ rounds and all fed/fired/ejected without issue. Accuracy was good enough to hit a 18" steel gong at 300 yards with irons sitting and shooting off my knees/elbows.

Ammo was under $20/20 rounds with taxes. Bought locally and used to avoid chasing down brass in the wet and snow lol.

iD BE INTERESTED IN A CASE OF STEEL CASE AMMO FOR MY STAG 10, BOUGHT 200 ROUNDS OF HORNADY FROM BULLSEYE BUT PAID OVER 300 BUCKS.STEELCASE WOULD BE GREAT FOR PLINKING ECT

Your caps lock is activated.

Steel case puts more stress on your extractor. Not the end of the world but the saving must worth it.

Now that Norinco 7.62x51 (450$-600$/1000) seems sold out there's no great steel bargain.
Don't buy Barnaul at 1$/round.
Try to find PMC, Lake city or Hirtenberger surplus at 650$-750$/1000. Those are brass case ball ammo that should provide good to excellent accuracy. I had many rifles that shot sub-moa with that PMC bronze.

Wait for sales at SFRC (now), Canada ammo, Tenda or Trade Ex. Buy it cheap, stack it deep.
