Steiner GS3 scope

Hi Guys

Anyone have any experience with these scopes? Steiner GS3 3-15X50 or the 4-20X50?
All of my other scopes are Leupold VX 3s.
I want to scope a Fierce 300WSM with a little more magnification, I would like to know if anyone has compared these scopes?
The VX3 would be a 4.5-14X40 with AO, the Steiner 3-15 has no AO but the 4-20 does.
Is it worth the extra money for a steiner? Steiner is also a 30mm scope.
Probably around $300 more for the steiners, give or take.
Another one I was considering is the Meopta MeoStar R1 4-16x44 30mm tube, but I cannot see this without purchasing on line! Its about $1000

I have been on a total tear buying scopes for a bunch of new rifles. I spent some time in the US at a large retailer comparing all the big names side by side. My end take was that the German glass was better and easier to look through, firstly, over the Leupolds. No offence to all the Leupold owners out there (i have 2 myself) , but for my eyes, the Schmidt and Bender, Steiner, Zeiss and Swarovski were all noticeably better. Flipping back and forth, they were brighter, and clearer. All 4 were compared against the Leu's.
So then, among the 4, I took the Schmidt off right away, since it was simply too expensive (my budget was $1100). It was tied for the best view with the Swaro.
Then I ran through the other 3. And i settled on the Swaro Z3. I know you are looking at a 30mm tube, but when you hold them, the Z3, with its 1" tube, is dramatically lighter. I had it between the Swaro and the Steiner, with the Swaro having ever so slightly better glass, but a lot less clunky.The Zeiss was a touch lower price, but a touch heavier, and a touch darker glass. However, if you have found a steiner at a great price, and the weight is not an issue, then you wont be disappointed.
As far as AO, unless you are shooting at close range, this really shouldn't be a big issue for you. I have them on my rim-fires because i flip between 50 and 100 y. And you can really notice the parallax. But on my 7mm, i am pointing out between 100 and 400. And its not really an issue.

I decided on a different scope, and bought a Swarovski Z3 4-12X50. Really nice scope and mounted great on the Fierce Edge 300WSM rifle. Mounted on Med talley rings and has about an 1/8 of an inch clearance from the barrel. I was surprised the 50 objective fit with the medium rings!
Just got to get out and site it in now!!

I personally hate the fact that some of the GS3 models don't have a parallax adjustment. I expect that at these scope(s) price point. That keeps me from buying another.
