My Sten got stolen 20 years ago - and i still miss it. If anyone knows of a full auto Sten for sale, I am interested.

The Sten has a bad rep for relaibility and accuracy. I was once on an airbase that had 50 of the Sten and 50 of the new gun (I call it a Sterling. Forget the Canadian name for it) for base defense. It was my job to test fire and check zero on them all. I found no real difference in the two models, although the Sterling inspired more confdence.

Many years later I bought a Canadian Sten and a Canadian Sterling. Same thing. They both shot well.

They got stolen and I miss them both.

As of 2010, SMG International of Canada manufactures Sten Mk 1*, Mk II, Mk III and hybrid versions of the Sten gun from a combination of newly manufactured and original parts. ######## are registered with and approved by the Canadian Firearms Center. Most guns are restricted to semi-automatic fire only. However, an unrestricted version of the Mk II Sten is also available for $1,575 (Canadian).[7]
