Steoger 2000 18.5"barrel defence pistolgrip

The Stoeger 2000 is a full stock with a pistol grip not a pistol grip only. The design won't permit a PGO as the recoil spring extends into the stock.

And this thread might have been better placed in the forum beneath this one.

You will receive mixed review on the M2000 some love it so much and bought a second one and some sold it after a few boxes for shell.

Although it share the same principle of the Benelli and Beretta's inertia design but the recoil spring is in the forend not like its bigger brothers (extended into the buttstock).

Some M2000 owners claim this is a better design because some early Benellis especially those who hunted in tha harsh enviornment noticed the recoil tube develop rust and if you search the net stainless recoil assembly (can't really remember the name I think its call "sure cycle" or something) its actually an aftermarket upgrade for those that didn't take their Benelli apart down enough to clean that assembly periodically.

Can't really said much about the PG 18.5" model but was told the 2nd generation M2000 (those will orange fiber optic sight and higher vent rib) is a hugh improvement and its a much more reliable gun.

Thanks for your information and valuable comments , any sugestions for other guns within similar price ranges ?

I am not trying to convince you the M2000 is a bad gun and only yourself can make the decision however, you might want to check these two forums then decide whether the M2000 is for you or not:

It is hard to make any suggestion without knowing what's your plan on using your shotgun for.

Is this your primary waterfowl gun mainly shooting from the blind or do you do more upland with a lot of walking or you just need a turkey gun?

Do you hunt big game with it or just use it for birdshot?

I am sure lots of other seasoned shotgunners will chime in once you provide more data.
