What's concerning about this post is that in a recent interview with Slam Fire Radio, JR Cox said, "We tell our dealers they're not allowed to take money in advance there's no pre-sales no pre-sales we catch you pre-selling you get cut off period... take names that's great I mean when we tell you like the kind of the the soft rule is that when we tell you where a week from Shipping You guns if you want to take small deposits like 50 bucks at that point to make people really commit to it for you that's fine but we don't want any phone calls from people saying yeah I gave this dealer like 500 bucks deposit or I paid for it where's my rifle right right uh we don't want that I never want to have those phone calls."

That's from 1:45:35, in the attached interview, less than a month ago.
 
Just for Clarification on the deposits - the order that we have bought and paid for is confirmed as being packed up this weekend and shipped next week. I used the word pre-order which caused some confusion - we are taking deposits on confirmed incoming product.
 
Strange that JR stated no deposits should be taken, as they as the manufacturer do not require money up front from reputable dealers.

Yet you stated, you guys at Northpro have already bought and paid for these incoming rifles.

You certainly understand the reasons buyers are spooked for this type of transaction.

My last question is this: if you guys already know these will be banned by the tyrannical and corrupt Liberal Government, why are you even selling these?

Well you refund any and all those customers once the RCMP actually ban them?

Why would you guys sell this rifle, and why would anyone buy one, if we all know it will be slated for the ban list?

My wife just brought these questions up to me, so I said so would ask.

I’m sure there are others with the same questions.
 
This isn't a "pre-order" in the stricter sense of the word, like the many we have heard about where people pay up front for guns that aren't even built yet. Seems to me that asking for a deposit on guns that are packed up on a skid and due to hit the store a week later isn't unreasonable, especially when the response is expected to be very enthusiastic and to exceed the available allotment coming in.

When I buy stuff online that I expect to be able to pick up in person on my next trip into town, I always offer to pay up front via EMT to hold the item. If I don't trust the seller enough to do that...well, that means I don't trust them and simply won't do business with them at all.

I won't comment on the other issues that buyers of any guns, not to mention guns like this 9mm semi-auto, might face in today's Kanada.

I have over 50 years experience in the firearms industry as a Police Constable, a firearms trainer and armorer, target shooter, hunter, guide, collector, Pro Shop Dealer, Natural Resource Officer, and outdoors enthusiast.

I bet your nuts have barely dropped yet you are an expert.....:(

Just to be clear.......from research I have done. The Crypto rifles were NOT banned. The were classified as "Prohibited". The Prohibited classification raises all kinds of concerns about the required licence for those who bought them or are trying to sell them, and if they are even in legal possession. If this rifle has not been properly/fully classified, the same thing could happen. Rifles that are classified prohibited are probably not eligible for any compensation under the Govt buy back program.

I wish we were all in the same boat as you are......:)

It would be cool to have the option of continuing to keep buying new guns every time the corrupt Liberals will ban them.

Most folks are not in this situation. Cost of living is killing a lot of great folks. This doesn't leave a pile of Jake left over to buy toys that might be banned, or worse, taken away......:(
