Steve Rinella is as good a spokesman for hunting as we could possibly hope for.

Couldn't have said this any better.
Ive seen all the Meat Eater shows, and read a lot of Ardent's posts, and for some odd reason in my head they are the same person, But really i know they arnt.
It may have to do with all the sheep and goat hunting and remote locations and weeks in the bush, both younger guys, although ones always in alaska and the others always in BC

On one his podcasts I recall that Rinella said that he probably wouldn't be a good guide because he isn't patient enough. I think Ardent is more like Rinella's friend Remi Warren.

He’s making a lot more money and we’re both much older than we look sadly.
Talked to them about doing a show actually an olympics ago, but the show model doesn’t work here, as it has to be hunting with a friend or unguided for appearances on the show which doesn’t fit for what we do. He has a buddy who’s an outfitter in the south of BC and has done some filming there. Respect his model and like the appreciation they show for the meat, and also like how he shows the unsuccessful hunts. I can’t stand 99% of hunting shows and all the staged shots and acting, his is different. While I don’t watch TV the bits of his I’ve seen I really appreciate.

Another person who doesn't do all the staged shots and acting is Randy Newberg. Hes on Youtube and amazon Prime, used to be on Outdoor Network or whatever.
Just to clarify, the issue with filming with him was due to the rules about non-residents requiring guides or hosts?

Yea the show wants Rinella leading or co-leading with a friend, and he’s certainly more than capable. The dynamic works with his friend in southern BC, hard to film that here. We made a pitch that didn’t work for the production team as they can do the same thing with a lot less limitations across the border in Alaska an hour by floatplane to the north, and can’t blame them.
