While I have been shooting this rifle for the better part of 2 months now I was still missing the last and final part...my MPOD from Mystic Precision. Needless to say I am super impressed with the quality of the MPOD and cannot wait to shoot with it installed. I will disclaim that I turned the height adjustment knobs to the outside of the legs as i find them easier to access this way. Anyways every piece of this build came from Jerry at Mystic and was actually very reasonable cost wise as this rig really performs, but I am still fine tuning it for best possible performance. Here's the spec sheet:
Chambered in 6.5x55 Swede
- Stevens 200 Long action
- 30" Shilen SS match prefit bull profile barrel 1 in 8 twist
- Timney trigger
- Ken Farrel 20moa Rail
- Burris Signature Vee rings Medium height with 10moa inserts installed
- Savage 110BA bolt knob
- Sightron SIII 8-32x56 LRMOA reticle
- Choate Custom Tactical Stock bedded by me
- MPOD

Whether a Stevens/ Savage is your bag or not I just wanted to post my Budget build as some may find it inspiring that you do not need to spend $$$$ on a "custom" rifle to have a serious performer. Anyways, enough with my drivel here are the pics:

Looks great. Enjoy the rifle and let us know how it shoots.

Please see my tips for the MPOD in my dealer forum. Cutting those leg adjust knob's threads shorter and putting a small washer under it will help utility alot.

Nice build I hope it works well for you. With the 260 being popular right now, it's nice to see a 6.5x55 build.

Can you please tell me where you sourced the bolt knob? I just picked up a SA 200 this week and am going to start planning. Thanks.

when i seen the pics, something in my pants moved abit. ive always had a sweet spot for the stevens/savage actions. great rifle cant wait to see the range report.

The bolt knob was also purchased from Mystic Precision. Thanks for the complinents. If the rain ever stops long enough for a range day I will post results promptly :)
