I may be a little slow on the uptake and hope that this has not been posted before, but this is a terrific article on the Stevens 200.

I liked the article, especially the first paragraph. I'm in the planning and research stage of building a rifle out of a Stevens 200 in 300 WM. A buddy of mine practically has a coronary every time I mention a Stevens. He's trying to convince me to buy a Remington 700 to do my build.

Remington 700 - a beautiful rifle ..... I absolutely love mine and will never sell it. The Stevens 200 - not as pretty, but a lot of fun !!

If you want to do the work yourself, the Stevens/Savage is the rifle for you.
