I just got a used stevens 200 today and am having some problems getting the bolt into place. I can get it to almost chamber but when i was looking at the bolt before install i pressed a small spring loaded button and it released and changed places. This is my first bolt action rifle as i have always been a lever guy so this is all very new to me.

Sounds like you released the cocking piece pin. If so, you can remove the rear baffel by twisting it counterclockwise a touch, and sliding it forwards. Place the bolt under your computer desk top or the like with the handle at the 1:30pm position and the cocking piece pin securely against the edge. Then push the bolt handle forward and rotate it to the 10am position making sure you forcefully hold the bolt body upwards against the bottom of the desk top.

It will probably lightly dent the edge of the desk top so you might want to use a not so sensitive piece of furniture such as a work bench.
