Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Bought the rifle brand new in June and from day one, after the first two rounds are feed and fired, the bolt skips over the third round. To get it to feed i have to push the rounds back to the rear of the magazine. I got a new mag spring and follower from Savage no charge. The original was twisted out of shape and i thought that was the problem but it still skips the third round. Any thoughts? I should also mention that it is a .223 i am dealing with.

One of the reasons I won't own a Savage for a primary hunting rifle...Virtually every oen I have owned or played wiht experienced some form or unreliability, often it was intermitent failures to feed.
I dont' knwo how to fix it either, I never was interested in them enough.
