Stevens 200 Stock ??

Hi
I am wondering if the syn. stock on a Stevens can be shorten maybe 3/4"? Is there enough meat in the stock to do this without adding expoy or a filler of some sort or should I just buy the Savage 11GCNS (7mm-08)?

No, you'd have to fill the stock with something. You could probably just cut it down with a table saw or band saw, glue the pad back on with urethane foam, then sand it down to fit

Thank you Prosper. I will probably go for a wood Savage,like the 11g and have a detachable clip and accutrigger for the extra $200.00. Not real hard to shorten wood stock!
