Hello guys!

I was wondering what the cheapest places are to get a Stevens 200 rifle?

Wholesale list them for $359, Russels list $329 Sir mail list $319. Is there any place cheaper or a place that matchs Sirs price? Just incase Sir is sold out.

Looking for a .243 :D

Best to call Wholesale Sports as their prices have changed since the catalog was printed and the web is not always current. I will bet they are the same as Russels if not slightly lower. I know they did have them at $299 for a period of time in limited calibers but went back up a while ago.

Ok thanks, don't mind me this will be my first rifle. :)

Well this is a good place to ask for advice. You'll find most people here are very helpful.

The Stevens is a good choice for a first rifle as they are inexpensive and quite accurate right out of the box. They are nothing fancy, but your target won't know the difference.

Cheers!

Correct again. Receiver is drilled/tapped only but up to you to decide what kind of bases etc u are going to mount. Maybe take a visit to the Savage Arms website for more info on the weapon.

I seem to remember that the Stevens, if you want to use Weaver Bases, take # 35m (matt). The front and rear base is the same. Then any Weaver type ring will work. I like Burris Z rings combined with the Weaver bases. They look good and hold well. What Calibre where you thinking about?

I've done some research and found it will work with 2 #46 weaver bases. The bases are cheaper then I thought only $3.50 each. I've also been looking at rings but was wonder will mediums work with 40mm scope?

m39a2 I'm looking at getting a .243 for predators and varmint. :)
