After fighting with myself for the past several months over what rifle, in what cartridge, I came home with the Stevens 200 in .25-06. I wanted a good round for whitetails and coyotes without a lot of recoil, because of shoulder troubles. Now for a good cleaning and mount my 1.5-4.5x32 Bushnell Banner, I will likely get a better scope, but this one has worked great on 3 previous rifles and will do for now.

I would say that you got a decent rifle there to start out with, do not let yourself get bitten by teh switchbarrel bug, or your screwed. That scope may not do the caliber justice when you get to whacking varmints though, a coyote at 300 yds is awfully small at 4 power. A good scope for that rifle would be something in the 4-12 area, IMO.
