stevens 44 1/2

CPA rifles in Pensylvania makes a new version of the 44-1/2. They're not 100% the same as the originals as the reciever was widened slightly so they could chamber for larger cartridges. Their rifles are good.

The photos on the CPA website don't do these rifles justice. You have to see and handle one first hand, to appreciate their build quality. Better yet.....shoot one. CPA rifles shoot every bit as good as they look. A pal of mine in Saskatchewan owns one. Spotted for him this summer, while he fine tuned it for BPCS. Great rifles and worth every penny. Was thinking about picking up another Sharps....likely a Shiloh to replace my McMillan. Will now be giving CPA a hard look. I really dig their distinctive look, too.
