Stevens 77E correct sling?

Just aquired a 77 and was wondering if anyone here knows of what sling if any were issued in vietnam with the stevens 77e?
Ive seen pictures of builds with every option mounted, leather sling, m14 sling and m1A long sling...maybe there was never a standard?

Any solid info appreciated.
 
The majority of Steven 77E shotguns found their way into S Vietnamese units. The buttstocks were slightly shorter that usual. Those few that remained in the US found their way into Police departments. I purchased 3/5 about 20 years ago in S. Carolina and they were marked SCHD ( predecessor to the Highway Patrol) vertically on the right rear of the receiver.
Sling selection was likely catch as catch can. My remaining example has a post war dark green M1/14 cotton 1 1/4 sling on it and it looks good.

Actually found an un issued correct buttstock for mine, good for my length of pull.

Kinda what Ive figured so far with my sling search so far, Ive got an M1 tan canvas sling a green m14 and a leather...decisions decisions.
