Havin' a proud dad moment and thought I'd share a pic of my 6 yr old boy shooting his Stevens Cadet....
I picked this up on sale at Wholesale Sports for $150 and coudn't be happier with it.
This is my boy's first .22, he's been shooting it for about a month.
It is a perfect fit for the little man, and I have a hoot shooting it too.
Only plastic is the trigger guard which I'll replace with steel at some point.
I was turned off some other .22's by the plastic sights.
The William's peep sight is great, and the rifle is actually quite accurate.
The Stevens doesn't have the Accutrigger, which I like for a 6 yr old, keep it simple.
He's doing well with it, I've had him shooting off a rest mostly, with a little bit of freehand and "field rest" thrown in.
Trying to keep it fun and success is a great way to do that.
The little bugger is a pretty good shot at 30yds!!
Cheers,
MM
