Hello all. I have Stevens 22-250 and i allways wanted to have det.magazine. Looks like there may be way to do it. I have pulled internal mag from the stock and it is exacly the same as Savage Axis 7-08 mag exept it dont have the bottom plastic. It may only be the matter of making hole and mag catch as the Axis have. What do you guys think about it?

I don't know. I know I saw a website of a U.S. based gunsmith who had a conversion kit to put a ten-round detachable magazine on the Stevens 200.

It is easier then you think.

Savage det mag stock, factory bottom metal, 22-250 factory mag.

drop your Stevens into the stock and bolt it up. You can even use your Stevens trigger guard although a Savage alloy one is so much nicer

have fun..... yes, it is that simple.

OR you can go with CDI bottom metal and use AI mags.

Or sell the Stevens. Go to Savage's website and use the "gun finder." It says they have 20 variants of several models from the Axis, Hunter, Package, Specialty, Varmint, and Classic series that can be had in .22-250 with a detachable magazine.
