Stevens Favorite 30m17 sight help

I just picked up a Stevens in 17hmr but I'm hoping someone can give me the low down on its sights. Where on the ramp equals what etc. I'd also like to find a peep sight for it, anyone have ideas?

Hey there rat-7,

I tried what you had described... I was going to install a Williams, WGRS-Savage on the receiver, and a Lyman Globe at the front. However, the receiver is so high that you will need almost a 1" ramp to match the rear peep!

On the other hand, I was going to install a Winchester Tang sight instead to match the front Globe. However, it took forever to find a proper Tang sight, and I ended up selling the rifle. If you are interested, have a look at the Lyman website, and you can find all the parts there.
