Stevens Favorite Model 30

I had one - I believe I bought it from SIR, possibly Wholesale Sports, new. Mine was a Model 30GM in 22 Magnum. If yours is a Model 30 it was made in .22. Maybe someone opened chamber to 22 Magnum? Anyways, it is worth what someone will pay and you agree to sell. I sold mine in 2013 for $225, with an aperture rear sight.

is it the takedown model?

Model 30 - The .22 LR takedown version of the Model 30G. Supplied with a 21" half-round barrel. UPC# 72200; 2005 MSRP $249.

Model 30GM - A solid frame version chambered for the .22 WMR cartridge. Supplied with a 21" full octagon barrel. UPC# 71000; 2005 MSRP $266.

yours says model 30 so its a .22 long rifle

Yours appears to also have a threaded hole on top of barrel - possibly goes with more threaded holes on receiver for a scope mount base? Mine did not. Might be newer/ different generation. Also, your forearm and butt stock fit to the metal receiver much closer than the one I had.

The rifle is newer manufacture from 70's or 80's, exact dates I can't remember. The older ones did not have as many names on the barrel stamp. Also if it was originally chambered in 22 WMR then it is late manufacture. Was also made after Savage bought Stevens out. Older ones pre WW2 are marked as Stevens only.
