Replace that horrible factory trigger with a Rifle Basix adjustable trigger.I have one set at a crisp 1 1/2 pounds.

You can improve it on the cheap by replacing the wire spring with a piece of wire of lighter gauge. Remove the old one and take it with you. Go to a hobby store that sell RC airplanes and they have hobby wire that will make a fine new spring. I did that on my Savage 10MLII and while its not target light, that's not what I needed either.

Stevens 200 trigger is easily adjustable. The first thing I did was adjust mine right down and now it is quite nice.

Google "Savage Trigger Adjustment" and you'll find easy instructions. No need to buy a new trigger, mine adjusted and crisped up quite nicely.
