Hi guys ! I was wondering if anyone knew the value of a Stevens Model 325 in great shape with a good bore. I don't know much about this gun and I don't own it yet.

Please tell me what this rifle can bring in value?

Thanks in advance !

Fred

My take is about $250-300, I would add more value if it was tapped for scope mounts, had scope mount and scope.

I had one for a little while, they are a nice little rifle, but getting them drilled for a scope is around a $100 from a gunsmith, then your in the same price range as a savage axis or cheap mossberg bolt action.

Personally I think they are a little over valued on the EE, an most of the ones in the $400 range have a few dollars in scope mounts and scopes, though the .223 and .22 hornets would be nice little coyote rifles for a truck gun with the right optic and the drop mag.

I personally don't think the Steven's 325's are worth more than $250 max. The savage 340's are a little more nicely built, but not worth more than $325 max in my opinion. This is after owning about 10 different ones. ( I actually had a 325 give me my only accidental discharge yet. I bought it, took it up the ice road for a trip, and while sitting in my truck , I loaded a round into the chamber, opened the door to shoot it at an empty antifreeze jug and the gun went off and blew my windshield out. Nearly shyt my pants and it deafened me for 2 days. I took it apart after I got home, and the little "spring" that holds the "nub" up at the rear of the action, the nub which captures the firing pin when cocked, and when the trigger gets pulled , the nub drops and the firing pin flies forward, well the spring broke in 2 pieces and the gun went KABOOM!!) I still have the gun in pieces in my shed and I won't be putting it back together any time soon!)

I have seen quite a few come up here around the $300 mark, +/- a little bit depending on wood quality, finish, blueing, scope mount/drill tap, some have a peep sight. If it has an extra mag they are hard to come by.

Personally I think they are a great little deer rifle. I've got the springfield version of the same rifle and with the new leverevolution ammo from hornady it's turned into one of my favorite deer guns when I am in the woods and not looking over a big field.
