Grandson got a Steyr M95 for a present and would like to know more about the "rifle" just a stick right now.
The rifle is all there and wood and metal are good but we haven't disassembled for a good cleaning yet.
Has a 29 & 1/2" barrel with the S/N 1817L on the barrel & receiver, a K on most of the other parts
including the receiver tang.

The fly in the ointment is the barrel has been drilled at the chamber and looks to be plugged.
The firing pin hole has been welded but I suppose could be opened up.

Some history and an approximate value of one not played with would be good info.
I'm looking for a barrel on EE unfortunately the #s wont match should I find one.

Why anyone would do this - destroy such an item - has me baffled but to each his own--- John

I remember seing a couple mounted on plaques and sold as wall decorations in a furniture years ago.

Thank you all - it is exactly as 441's picture shows on EE. Knowing all this the boy is willing to leave things alone.
They're not that expensive and likely would cost as much / more to mess with this one. --- John

Tradex sells M95's for $199. It might be better to buy a good example instead of fixing yours.
