I used the US made knock-off, the Rogak P-18 (or something like that) may years ago. I liked it, as I recall. The grip is bigger than a P35; but smaller than an S&W M59.
As I recall it also had some kind of gas-assisted recoil reducer thingy.
Anyway, I liked it, and everything I read said the Steyr was even nicer.
