I've spotted a Steyr HS-50 available for sale in Quebec province, on a classified ads website...
Here's the rifle:

It's sold for 6900$ nego...
What I was wondering, is about the legality to own such a rifle, here in Canada...
Can it be bought with a Restricted Class Possession/Acquisition permit?
Or does it need a Prohibited permit/Grand-Father clause?
Also, I know it's a nice weapon, but don't you find it weird that civils can possess such a rifle?
If you guys read this link:

The say that the Austrian company "Steyr", who built that weapon, sold around 800 units to Irak/Iran and that they are great chances that these weapons are in the hands of terrorists...
Sayings around the web are that, according to Steyr, patents for the HS .50 ran out years ago, and fraudulent copies could also have been produced in several countries of the world.

Concerned that these dangerous weapons could fall into the hands of insurgents and terrorists, the governments in London and Washington both tried to put a stop to the controversial sale, but were unsuccessful. Steyr-Mannlicher went through with the deal anyway.
