Anyone have experience with a Steyr in western Canada? How hard/expensive are parts to attain compared to other manufacturers like S&W or SIG?

I really want to try a Steyr M-A1 but I'd have to get it special ordered as nowhere in Calgary or Edmonton stocks them apparently. This does not bode well for the availability of parts, but if they could be acquired via a modest S&H fee and reasonably short wait period I might still try to buy one of these suckers.

I had M9-A1... I know Shooters choice in ON had one in stock a little while ago (not fure if 9mm or .40).

about parts; I had a part mailed to me from Austria for free :)

It is one of the gun that I really want to get one but because of not quite common and I can see there are certain diffcuilty to get it keep going for a long term.

Thanks for the input, fellas. I really fell in love with this thing (despite not having even touched one yet), but it looks like I might have to settle for something else.

I have two Styer's a9mm, an a .40,I like them both, well made, an the sights are really good once you get used to them.No problems so far.

Apparently parts and service are not an issue if you're willing to ship it back to Wolverine, in case anyone's curious.

Also, I should have one by late next week.
