I have a rifle that is marked "W. GLASER WAFFEN ZURICH" on the barrel. On the side of the reciever it is marked "OESTERR. WAFFENFABR.-GES. STEYR". It is an 8x57 caliber, has double set triggers, and the smoothest action I have ever seen, and all numbers match. The barrel is pitted and the stock is in rough shape as it was my grandfather's utility rifle and was well used by him self and his seven sons. I believe it is a Styre Manlicher M1903 but am not sure. I am looking for information and parts for this rifle if any one knows anything about it.
Thanks

Any chance of posting some pics? My first thought, based on chambering, was 1905 or 1907 similar to the Mannlicher-Schoenauer, but I've been wrong before and most likely will be again.

It could be a 1924, I just don't know. It was brought back from Germany in 1945 by one of my grandpa's friends and my grandpa bought it in the 50's and used the hell out of it.

Looks like a Mannlicher-Shoenauer 1905 to me. Caliber is 8x56 MS ,unless it says so on the piece. Best have it checked. If in reasonable shape its worth 600-800$$.I see claw mounts, and if a scope is involved jack it up another 200-300 or so. I've owned quite afew of these in the past. JITC
