Is this gun legal in Canada or is the barrel just slightly under the limit? The specs say its got 102mm barrel, but I've seen one for sale here in NB. Figured someone here would know.

102mm is prohibited
to be restricted it has to be over 105mm
but the barrel might be 105+mm even though the brochure says it is 4.01" (102mm)
Ask the seller...

edit: the one in the picture is clearly 102mm.

Ah, there we go, makes sense. Thanks everyone.

How would it stack up against a Glock for trigger pull, overall performance and all that?

"...the brochure says..." That the important part. What a barrel actually measures doesn't matter.

Nope! If a manufacturer makes a special run for Canada, which Steyr did, and our officials accept it, which they did, THAT's the important part.

Had an M40-A1; only problem is that it is sensitive to weak-wristing. Go ahead and buy.

Yes and no. If the brochure says 4" then it is automatically classed as prohib, but if the barrel is physically longer, than can be verified and changed to restricted. Best example of this is the HK P7, brochure says 4" but the vast majority are now registered (re-registered) as restricted because barrels measure out to 105+mm

As for the M9-A1, I like it. Have one and have a trigger bushing and spring kit to install to remove "mush", crisp up and smooth the trigger pull.
