Steyr M9...good or bad ??

Cost new is around $650-700 (I think). Dunno much about quality/reliability, but it's a member of the fugly club for sure

I was all ready to love this gun, then I tried it and hated it. Trigger sucks, weirdo sights were hard to focus on, and it was too slippery in the hands. Plus the butchered barrel that was installed to make it Canadian legal looks like crap.
I had one.
Not bad, but support for them is poor (in Canada).
Mine needed a new extractor and it was a major pain in the a** to get.
I like the design though. Very Robust - I actually prefer it to the Glock.
I did not like the manual trigger safety though (mine popped down a few times when shooting - not good) and the sights did suck... magazines were/are way overpriced (but good quality).
However, for the price of a new Glock these days... you can't go wrong. Get a Glock

I can pretty much confirm the general thread here: funky/horrible looks, singularly horrible trigger.The grip and sights pretty much condemned this one to the "Did any anybody really ask for these features, and if so, WHY?"
My advice is, put it down, admire it from afar, back away and buy something/ anything else.
