I am looking for a good 9mm pistol. Some Co-workers told me to get the Steyr M9A1. After some research it seems like a good pistol. But hard to find info on tiger weight etc. Any one have other thoughts.

I really enjoy one in .40 - compact and accurate - fits well - and I love the special sights. I shoot .45 only but make the exception just for this gun. It is designed by someone who cares about the little things - no rough corners etc..

I own one in .40 S&W. It is an excellent pistol and a great value. The trigger pull is about 5.5 to 6 pounds I would guess and it is a pretty clean break for a striker fired pistol. I prefer the trigger to a Glock not because it is better but it is a little different (I find it less springy). The take up is short and consistent and I find the final stage a little "sticky?" The reset is not as pronounced as the Glock but it is short and effective. This is just my opinion and I'm sure everyone will have a slightly different take on it. There are some videos of the trigger on Youtube, I would not be at all concerned by it though. For 600 it is a great deal and very well made I would say it is just as good as a glock and much better looking (again entirely subjective). One thing about it that I find impressive is the bomber steel sub frame that they are built on almost like the Benelli supernova it is kind of a polymer exoskeleton idea.
