Steyr Monoblock

It seems to be a disposable rifle with no provision to replace the barrel when it gets worn out, Ok for the occasional shooter but for someone who likes to shoot its an expensive bic lighter. I don.t care for the appearance but that's a personal preference only.

I would have to disagree with it being disposable, it is designed to be a " European hunting rifle " . What I mean by that is from what I have seen first hand a hunter in Europe would use this to hunt, not target shoot. It is sighted in, and then put away for the hunt. It is not used for plinking. A very very nice piece of kit!!!

Looks cool, I like the grip, I would shoot lots and not worry about wearing it out. How many gun enthusiasts don’t have other rifles to shoot lots. I bet the people who don’t like the non changeable barrel would never wear it out

They look great, but their quite expensive. At that price point they're up there with Blaser and Sauer rifles but without all the fancy wood, probably more of a durable hills and mountains hunters rifle then a show piece.

I guess some folks want a premium rifle to hunt with instead of show off and use just a few times.... Weird...

That’s the best place for it, locked away in a closet somewhere :puke:

He states, "most accurate gun out of the box."....now that's a sales pitch. Barrel is to short for my liking. With a weight of 8.2 lbs., sans scope and mounts, it's not a lightweight. Did I read correctly on their website that the price is 4,600 euros?

$4600 Euros?????? Really?

:sok2

I kind of like the look of them and the changeable leather inserts are neat but if that price is accurate I will pass......

Mein Gott! What a plastic eyesore & price gouge. A Remington 783 I reckon, would have no issues keeping up with that unit for "outta da box" accuracy.

The Rem looks & feels proper to boot.
