I was looking at a pro hunter the other day anyone want to voice their opinions on one ? I liked the short bolt throw anyone had any good or bad experiences with this model Thanks Tony

I love my 30-06 prohunter in stainless. It is a very accurate rifle out of the box, and a nice trigger. The bolt is super smooth with a nice design (4 lugs). They never did catch on here for some reason. I took a muley last fall with mine. It was a 180 yd. shot across a creek valley, with the doe bedded down watching me. I used a barb wire fence as support and took the top of the skull cap off her. I had lots of time with the shot and she wasn't spooked. (pretty easy hunting when they don't run!) This rifle gives a certain amount of confidence when taking shots.
Highly recommended and high quality build.

I've got a SS in 6.5x55 and I love mine. It's an extremely accurate rifle out of the box and being in a 6.5 calibre, a pleasure to shoot. If cost is an issue, consider a Tikka T3....another accurate rifle with a nice trigger.

Ive done a little bit of shooting with a SS 300 Win Mag. It shot pretty good with handloads, average groups running a bit over 1" for three shots. Not bad for no load tweaking at all.

I like the Limbsaver pad on the stock. The stock itself is pretty ugly, but well made and not cheap tupperware. The detach. mag system seems solid, and the trigger is nice and crisp. Tang safety is great, and you can unload while the gun is on safe.

They are not my cup of tea, but nonetheless, very good rifles.
