All my information comes from before the L9-A1 was released:
If you can, try to shoot one before buying. I miss the M9-A1 I sold. It had a better trigger than my Glock. It had less muzzle flip, likely from the very high grip it allows and the low bore axis. Overall when shooting it felt more natural or comfortable.
I sold it due to several issues, mainly related to its lack of popularity. Finding accessories or parts was a pain, and if you find them they're expensive. At the time, direct manufacturer support was non-existant for Canadians (unsure if that's changed). If you discover a problem, you're less likely to find any solutions online.
