STI custom after market parts.

I have an STI pistol and I would like to change the plastic trigger and add a am-bi safety. Will custom after market parts just drop in like other 1911's, and what is the difference between a long trigger and a short trigger? Last question is where would I get these custom parts from in Canada? Thanks for any help with this.

Every maker has different specs there close but not exact I have to tweak most parts to make them run smooth
Btw its not plastic its carbon fiber
