Looking for owner feedback. Good for a newbie? This is on my list with s&w mp 9mm or sig Sauer p226. Ease of care, performance?

Second pistol i bought, from gunnar at armco, love it......... Shoots great, good double action, great single, no gritty feel, must get new adjustable sights. Easy field strip, but i havnt done the full one yet.... And pretty accurate... 9mm rocks for newbies.... Get one and enjoy!!!!

Thanks, I was beginning to wonder if any one would answer. I know everyone says you have to try it yourself, but I like to hear from owners! Thanks again.

I like my GP6 a lot but I don't think I would buy it for a first pistol. It is hard to get a holster and other accessories for it.

Magazines aren't common either so you might want to buy at least 3 extra when you first buy the pistol.

That said, it handles really nice and it has an outstanding reset for follow up shots.

It's a damned good first pistol. It will spoil you for many other designs.

The optional fiber optic front and Dynamic rear are worth the cost. The bigger mag button is also a good choice.

As mentioned, getting extra mags is a good idea. CZ or Tangoglio mags can be altered to fit in a pinch, but it's just easier to get them up front.
