Does anyone out there own or have any experience with any of the following 1911s, that can offer me some feedback or personal experiences with them.

STI LAWMAN 5.0
PARA BLACK OPS (single stack)
KIMBER CUSTOM COVERT ii
KIMBER CUSTOM TACTICAL HD ii

I'm not new to shooting and this isn't my first .45 however it will be my first 1911. I am interested in all these for different reasons.

So which would you recommend and why????

How bad was it out of interest?

I was kinda thinking that but couldn't find many reviews of the black ops however I found a few not so favorable reviews of other para models. I needed to hear first hand from someone who had dealt with them so thanks for the tip.
 
Yup...forget the Para..quality is poor, finishes don't stand up, and they are not standard 1911 spec. You will likely be disappointed.

Kimber can be great or you can get a bad one....they produce a lot of pistols so odds are higher purely by the numbers. I personally don't care for paint on type finishes, but that's just me.

STI gets my vote...they are pretty much all the same 'short block' with different options/ details, etc.
They don't have all the 'pretty' finishes but they run and run and run.

As a matter of fact I will be ordering two more today:)
