STI pistol questions?

If you have the Recoilmaster the green plastic thing is the recoil assembly take down tool. With the slide in your hand, push recoil assembly from the inside of the slide and it will compress, the rod will begin to stick out the front under the barrel. Keep pushing until you can place the green bastard on the rod to stop it from contracting. You can then take it out by pulling it back in the slide and rotating a little to get it out. The barrel lock/pivot piece should be positioned to the assembly can clear it for removal.
I hope this helps, that is how I do it. I had to ask questions too!

1.What is the factory-set trigger weight for STI TROJAN? For TARGETMASTER?
2. Are those guns come in SA or DA/SA?
Thanks.
1. STI Single Stacks are targeted at 4 lbs for factory. Tool steel sears and hammers that have been cut using EDM permits gunsmiths to modify these parts to significantly less if desired.

2. They are traditional 1911s, so SA only.

Thanks Maurice. This looks like this is different but I figured it out:rolleyes:
I got a tool that is blue (Wilson Combat tamped on it and an alan key), I figured out how to remove the Guide Rod by using this tool to compress the retaining cap and then turn to the right some retaining plate on the muzzle end that is used to hold it it in place. Once the giude rod, spring and sping cap are removed, you turn the plate to the other side and the barrel with that retaining device all comes out of muzzle end of the slide.
Very slick,,,and now she's clean, lubed and ready for her next outing...:D

Sorry did'nt mean to hijack this thread,,Cheers
Any recommendation on 9mm Magazines for the Trojan?
