Have a ranger 2 and it's having an issue pulling the cartridge out of the pipe and jams the next round. Some times I get 2 rounds off before this happens but in most cases it's the first. I came home and adjusted the extractor and when I run the slide it seems to function correctly now. Any other ideas if it keeps happen?

Hey, the EXACT same thing happened to me. The round fired and the casing is left in the pipe but it tried to feed another round. I took my slide off to to check the extractor tension. It passed then test where you put a live round under the claw and shake so i thought it was somthing else. I got new mags, guide rods, different ammo. Nothing worked. I ended up getting an Aftec extractor. It fixed my problem for me. Works 100% now. It's frustrating when you buy a 1k gun and now have it work out of the box. If you do get the Aftec you will need to modify your firing pin stop. All the instructions are in the packaging. Best 100 bucks I've ever spent haha. Hope this helps and good luck.

I'm looking at these, did you buy it new or used?

Because of how the rim is fed up and under the extractor on a 1911 style it doesn't take a lot of a tweak one way or the other to see it working well or not working at all. I'm guessing that the extractor was slightly misshapen by a previous incident and you've likely fixed or mostly fixed it now.

Similarly minor tweaks of the magazine lips can produce similar issues if the rounds are not presented and guided out of the magazine correctly.
