OK, has anyone seen or touched them ? I am thinking of picking one up (can always use another 1911 and hard to beat that price....) - what do they look/feel/shoot like ?

Yeah I saw that earlier - not much in terms of information. I am a bit curious about the finish which seems to have drawn some criticism.... Then of course we have the reliability question which can probably only be answered after hundreds of guns are sold and thousands of collective rounds are fired downrange....

Anyways, still hoping someone here in Canada has some more information...
 
the finish is ugly as on a STI standard, but the fit and accuracy is top notch,
for $800 and extra 200 for refinish, you a have a custom gun,
 
Phoenix Indoor Range and Gun Shop in Edmonton has them in stock. (Or at least, 'had them in stock' the last time I was in there in late May.....they might be sold out by now.....)

Reliability is not an issue, as demonstrated by the fact that STI backs the gun with the same lifetime warranty they offer on all of their other firearms.
These guns are QA'ed by the same people that QA the Edges and Grandmasters.
