Sticking Break Action 12ga

I have a Stoger 12 gauge coach gun. The problem I’m having is it is a little tough to break. I’d like it to fall open when I push the lever. I’ve polished the mating surfaces and cut down the spring. Is there anything else I can do or is this just how they are?

Maybe the firing pins are sticking in the primers. Check a fired primer for signs of dragging. Is it hard to open with empty chambers, or only when fired?

Hard opening even with empty chambers. Also it is only the first little bit. It kind of just sticks for the initial part of the break.
