I have only two thoughts then.
You have a weak recoil spring that's allowing the bolt carrier to come back with too much force.
Or your gas ports are out of spec thus pushing the carrier back with too much force.
Any marks on the spring side of the carrier or the striker?
my 58 broke the bolt and breech block because the piston was to tight in the gas block. i sent it to movie armament and they put a smaller piston in it. now it has a .467 in diametre...it cycles well now... i think that might be the problem on your gun. your lucky that it didn't break anything else. i got my gun back two weeks after i mailed it in. they will also check the headspace on it so that the block locks properly.hope this will help..
