Sticky 7.62x39 lacquered ammo

As the tittle says, I'm experiencing some extraction issues of lacquered 7.62x39 surplus ammo. It basically does not eject completely and frequently gets stuck in between the receiver and bolt carrier (CSA VZ-58). I had a good look at all mechanisms and carefully observed the extraction process and believe the rifle does not have any gas block orifice issue and the piston function is proper in terms of piston stroke extent and force. This leads me back to ammo, as the worst offender is ironically Czech surplus, I have far less problems with Russian surplus and brass reloads' malfunctions are so rare I don't even worry about it. I have also observed the ambient temperature seems to play a bit of role here, in hot weather(26-32oC) the problem gets worse, when cooler(15-22), the issue subsides. Does this look familiar ? What would be the remedy ? Is there a possibility of the chamber being a little too tight ?

When I first started reading your thread I was thinking heat.. Lacquered cases.. (in my mind) the lacquer would become softer the hotter it became thus making it almost sticky .. you later pointed out that the problem gets worse in hotter weather… Heat must have a way of effecting the Lacquered case. I cannot confirm this from my own experience, as plinking in hotter weather has no appeal.

I too thought this might be the case, HOWEVER I noticed that the OP is in Vancouver so I quickly called BS to the 26-32 degress (I joke of course).
check your chamber, lacquer builds up and needs to get cleaned out.

Might be worth a read. Maybe chamber is getting extra dirty like this article suggests:

How many rounds before you experience this?

Thanks Steiner, I think you've pointed me in the right direction. I have always focused on cleaning the bore and good lubricating after but only light cleaning of the chamber with very little if any brushing at all but lots of lubrication after to prevent corrosion. I have fired thousands of rounds from many different semi-autos while having the same cleaning routine but this problem is new to me. I'll take better care of the chamber on my next trip to the range and see what happens. Thanks.

I'm told that there hasen't been any laquer coated ammo manufactured since ww2. what appars to be laquer is actually a polimer. I question that heat is a problem . I'm in Arizona and have shot with temps at 105 f. with no extraction problems, even after extended firing. You may have an extractor problem or you may need to upgrade the cleanless of the chamber.

Yes Steiner is 100% correct. It is gluing the inside of the chamber up and making the cases stuck in there.
Just scrub the chamber real good when cleaning and you will never experience that issue again.
