I followed his instructions on my M44 and 91/30, and it makes one hell of a difference...no more sticky bolt!!:dancingbanana:
Iraquiveteran8888 has a whole bunch of interesting YouTube postings, the guy definetely knows his sh%&!

I guess I got lucky or haven't shot enough ammo fast enough. So far all the milsurp lacquered stuff has shot fine in my MN. I've only once shot 10 rounds in a row and about at half the speed as he did during the torture test so maybe I haven't "hit the wall" yet.

I followed his chamber clean-up procedure on one of the East German reworked M38s P&S was selling. Worked well, was all sorts of crap caked in the chamber. Also polished up the bolt surfaces and trimmed the spring back a couple turns. No problems with misfires and made working the bolt much easier.

That "Bore Bright" looks a lot like the red jeweller's rouge that is often seen in a lot of products. We can buy "bricks" of it for use on buffing wheels and it also comes as automotive "rubbing compound". And in fact the Bore Bright looks to me like it's the exact same consistency as the creamy automotive rubbing compound.

I do know that I've used the automotive stuff to polish metal and it does a nice job. The amount of metal that would be worn away with it looks very much like the amount shown by his Bore Bright mop after he finished up. So I don't doubt that you can buy the Rubbing Compound from Canadian Tire and be pretty darn sure of getting the same results.

I did all the work he discusses in that tutorial. I found that getting the lacquer crap out of the chamber and clipping 2 coils off the spring made all the difference.

I used to have to work the bolt a lot when firing milsurp, now I can one hand it while shouldered. It's about half as good as my unfired Polish, so that's a real improvement.
