Stiff Hinged Action?

Lap the sides of the receiver with fine grit sandpaper? 300 working down to 600 may work?

If the inside is unfinished, put a little Dykem (machinist's layout fluid) on it and work the action open/closed about 50 times - check where the wear is, and lap down the high spots.

Other than that, just assure good grease lubrication on the pivot pins and some on the sides of the receiver.

is it rough opening or closing? Or both? My Cooey 12ga is pretty stiff, even after probably 1000's of rounds. The main thing for me is on closing, the extractor slides against the breech face to push it back in. It's worn a good sized groove in the breech face, I think I will try to round off and polish the extractor so as to be a little easier on it. Other than that, a good cleaning, a bit of polishing/lapping, and good lubes ( I like Militec, get the free sample) will go a long way.

You may find your extractor/ejector is the culprit. You can remove it and polish the rod and hole it moves in too.....you may find this helps somewhat. I'ld look at that before messing with the receiver.....
