stingers in a norinco jw20

I don't know about the jw20 specifically but I have read that they are not recommended in 10/22's and Marlin semi-auto's because they can be hard on the recoil buffer. I shot a bunch out of my Marlin 795 before finding about this, and didn't have any issue. Just a matter of playing the odds, I guess.

Try them and see how yours deals with them.

Watch the point on the trigger group where the bolt strikes at full recoil. Pull the trigger group out and have a look at it when the bolt is slid back as far as it goes. It does not really have a buffer, and mine is showing some wear from a steady diet of High velocity ammo. I'll deal with it if or when it quits working, though. It is starting to mash it a little, at the side of the pillar that the sear and striker operate on at the back end of the group.

Feeding issues. Round noses have always worked about the best for me. Mine had a horrendously sharp edge on the chamber that I radiused to stop it from cutting slices off the side of the bullet, which gummed up the works with loose crap, or simply stopping the bolt altogether with a hung feed. Watch the way the problem manifests, act accordingly. Some pliers tweaking of the little wire spring that acts as a guide for the feeder may also be worth looking at. Or it ay be something else entirely. Refer back to "watch the way..." :)

Cheers
