I am not sure if this is the right forum to post this in but I am looking for anyone who might offer stippling services in Alberta? Primarily Edmonton and area but would send items to Calgary and area.

Thanks

Most people do it themselves. I'm assuming that you are looking for a plastic framed pistol or long gun stock, grip etc.?

Generally a soldering iron and some patience is the best way to go. The only other person I know of right now is in Saskatchewan.

Stippling is as time consuming as checkering. Has to be done correctly to look good too. It is not hard to do though. Uses a nail or a special tool(Brownell's sells 'em. Cheap, they ain't though. $25.99US each. Easily made with bar stock and a file.) and lots and lots and lots of patience.
However, these guys, in B.C., do it. $100 per handgun. $150 per rifle. Add the W's .milsig.ca/contact_us
Best to call your local shops and ask.

I did my own on my M&P. Practiced on my spare grips and then went at er with some time and patience. Used a sodering iron. Tried a woodworking kit with multiple tips, but found the sodering iron tip made the nice golfballs. I ended up preferring the feel of a large diameter stipple to the little ones. Felt more grippy with less abrasion? if that makes any sense. Made a huge difference. Whatever you do, don't do the underside of the trigger guard though, it will eat your middle finger. I ended up grinding mine off and doing a nice undercut.

Used some masking tape to get my boundaries, watched some videos on Youtube first. Did the same thing as you and couldn't find anyone to do it. Took the leap and it wasn't hard at all.
