I was told there are adapter that can be installed on an 1100 to amount AR style pistol grips and collapsible stocks but i haven't found any online.

This is for an 870. I want something like this but for an 1100.

As you can see, these guys did it. It's called The Devastator:

But they aren't selling it. And there is no recoil tube, so someone else has got to have something similar!
I don't care about the front rails. I'm not tacticooling this thing. I just want my collapsible stock to be mountable on my 1100. I need to be able to reduce the recoil to its maximum.

The 1100 has a tube at the back of the action that houses a return spring. Not saying that there isn't a collapsible style stock, but I would guess that if there is an AR style adapter/stock, that the stock may be fixed.

Way back in the 1980's, some company DID figure out how to move the action spring out of the buttstock area. I can't recall the name, butit was definately for Rem1100's. Their picture showed an 1100, with a wire frame telescoping stock, with pistol grip. Now...I'm not sure, but I strongly believe they put springs inside the handguard area...somehow.

I the last couple of years, there was talk of this again...and a new prototype was created similar to the old one. That's about all I know. Maybe contact BadBoy Beeson at S&J hardware, he probably knows much more about this.
