Stock and forearm remington 1100

Will the stock and forearm for an 11-87 fit an older 1100??
I would like to replace the wood on an 1100 and I see lots of replacements for the 11-87 just wondering if they are interchangeable.?

aside from the contour of the barrel, yes they will.

Like said, they will interchange, but the fore-end from the 11-87 has no detent ball like your older 1100. You may find you will need to check on the magazine cap every so often for tightness.
