I have a Savage 12fv in .243. Love the rifle to death but hate the stock. I've been searching my options for the last 6 months and have found some very nice possibilities but due to the US exportation restrictions, I have run into some road blocks and financial road blocks.
Backround aside, who have a B and C Duramaxx stock? What is the palm area like, does it have a palm swell? Is it basically a beefed up version of the factory stock?
These are my questions for the time being. I have settled, for the time being, on this stock as a replacement for the tupperware but I like a palm swell.
To compare it to other things that I like. I really like the stock on the Remington R5 and I also like the stock on the CZ Kevlar I believe its called. However these stocks are not made for the Savage.
If you have anything to add, please do so and maybe point me in a direction that is similar to what I have mentioned in the above paragraph. I like the feel of these two stocks, they are great for on the bench but still practical in the field.
