I need someone to either make a stock for me (finished with checkering, etc.) or provide me with a semi-inletted stock...I need a fullstock (Stutzen, Mannlicher-type) for a standard large ring Mauser 98. I don't have a copy of Access around so I can't look up the ads in there...I recall a fellow in Southern Saskatch. and another guy somewhere out there who was providing semi-inlets. Any other ideas for semi-affordable stocks? (And don't say "Great American Gunstocks". I definitely will NOT be dealing with them again.)

Where is this Kerry Stricker located?? I know where Robert Wilson is but he does not have a pattern for the rifle stock I am after. Thanx

Kerry Stricker Leader Sask or you could wait till march I think he takes tables at the Unity show.

I'd like David Henry to do the work...he was (is when I'm home) my local gunsmith...but when I saw him in the summer he said he wasn't taking any new work for a year...he was that backed up...

I think Chris Wilcox in Lumby handles that kind of work A few years ago I had him cut a semi inletted stock for an old Winchester '95. He provided me with beautiful wood and a challenginging fitting and finishing project. I believe he has a fine reputation for finishing work as well. I think I have a current phone contact for him somewhere. PM me if you want me to dig it up for you.

I feel your pain Rob!

There was a Lady advertising her checkering abilities here but I cannot remember Who or where She was located. Anyone else remember who it was?
I think she was in Montana.

Gunstocks Inc was good to deal with, and they actually care about their customers, unlike GAG.
